St Paul’s School / Sport

Recreational swimming is enjoyed by many Paulines and there are swimming and water polo events for boys of all ability.

Our elite swimming team competes at county, regional and national levels as well as in inter-school championships. Swimmers are coached by Roxana Roman, formerly a member of the Romanian national team.

Water polo teams compete in English Schools’ Swimming Association and London Schools’ events at U14, 15, 16 and U18 levels. All boys have the opportunity to try out water polo early on in their time and can choose it as a games option in all years.

Boys train for all levels of competition, including commonwealth games. Recently, boys have represented the School at both county and regional level. In 2014, our U19 water polo team was runner-up in the English Schools’ Plate finals, and the U16s won a bronze at the same competition.
